Master Agent Expenses & Deductions with Ease

Master agent expenses and deductions with ease

Keeping your company's accounting in order starts with understanding and managing deductions. Let's explore the Deductions page—your central hub for creating deductions for your company.

You'll find the Deductions page under the Administration tab. Here, you can create and manage the different types of deductions your company may need:

Types of Deductions

Gross Transaction

Purpose: Deduct a portion from the Total Transaction Value.

Example: Adjustments for lease extensions or prepaid rent on landlord deals.

Where It's Used: On the Details page of a deal, within the Commission Review section.

Gross Fee

Purpose: Deduct directly from your fee for flexibility in special situations.

Examples: Reductions for tenant non-openings or documenting a discounted fee.

Where It's Used: On the Details page of a deal, within the Commission Review section.

Company Fee

Purpose: Recover company costs from a deal—great for shared expenses.

Example: Recouping marketing costs like signage, split among the team.

Where It's Used: On the Internal Review page of a deal, just below the Broker Team Splits.

Broker Fee

Purpose: Apply or remove fees for brokers—ideal for personalized fee management.

Examples: Broker draws, service fees, or agent support fees.

Where It's Used: In Accounting – Agent Expenses. When payment is applied to a deal, the expense is deducted from the agent's commission.

Mastering these deduction types gives you greater control over your transactions and fees—whether adjusting deal values, protecting your earnings, or managing company expenses.

Angelo Progress

As we move into the third quarter, I wanted to share a detailed update on our progress with Angelo and what's ahead.

We're making strong headway, and our goals for this quarter are ambitious and exciting. By the end of Q3, we aim to:

  • Complete the management pages (on track)
  • Finalize all testing for deals and transactions across all types, including deal agency (on track)
  • Wrap up billing workflows, including tracking outstanding payments and batch processing them in Realcore (on track)
  • Finish all existing reports
  • Complete the User Calendars, a critical piece with more customization for the users

The focus for Q4 will then shift to final polishing—tweaks, minor improvements, and bug fixes—so we're positioned for a full launch at the end of the year.
